View Full Version : SSI is Being Reviewed

I have been on disability for depression for several yrs. I am now being reviewed and they have asked for any dr's I have seen. I have given them the name of Planned Parenthood in NY as that was my only real doctor in NY as I really couldn't afford a true doctor while I was there. I have been in FL for a few months now staying with my family because I now have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome as well as the depression.

The depression has gotten very very bad since the illness. I am bedridden, unable to work and highly depend on the ssi each month. My new dr here in FL who is a pain specialist said that he will write any letters I need and provide any documentation necessary because he knows that I am currently depressed and unable to work. This is encouraging yet I am very stressed about losing my benefits. Additionally, I saw a physchiatrist at a hospital in NY for seven months but she was very unhelpful. I plan to request my records from that hospital before I submit them to ssi to see what the records say.

How worried should I be? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
sincerely, asfirefly
