I finally got my copies and would like to know what you all think. My GP says normal.
Fasting ACTH(morning) 6.0 (Lab range <10 pmol/L)
Cortisol(morning) 607 (Lab Range 170-660 NMOL/L)
Cortisol(4pm) 372 (Lab Range 170-660 NMOL/L)
I understand cortisol should be at its highest in the a.m, but its pretty close to the top of the range. Should I accept that this is normal and move on?
Thanks

Dear Abby,
As I read your post, I felt badly for you. I sat there thinking, "Well, it doesn't look as though she has Addison's -- that's great. But that probably leaves her back to square one, which doesn't feel good. I had to wonder whether you might need to look into thyroid problems, so I checked all of your past posts, and found out you HAD. I certainly think that looks like the problem, with the little knowledge I have. What do your doctors say about the latest thyroid results, and the high TSH? ~ Tracy

Tracy, thanks for your concern, these past 7 months have been the hardest of my life. I was actually thrilled when I got abnormal thyroid results. I am seeing a Dr tomorrow(not my regular dr) and am really hoping for some clarification, and a fresh point of view. Hopefully the struggle will soon be over.
I really appreciate your kindness.

Dear Abby,
Well, yesterday was a big day for you! I truly hope you were not "let down" by the doctor's appointment. What came of it? Was it the light at the end of the tunnel that you've hoped for? I say it that way because that's what I started to see when they began some more tests on my son. I could visualize a tiny pinhole at the end of a blocked over tunnel. Only a pinhole right now, because I don't know whether the tests will yield us any further info., but at least they are trying to diagnose again, instead of just sending us home to fend for ourselves and self-heal! :o) Hope to hear back about what the doctor had to say to you yesterday! ~ Tracy

Hi Tracy, sorry it took me a couple days to get back to you. The new GP I saw was really good, however he decided to do more thorough testing to find out what exactly is going on before beginning treatment. I am happy enough with that. I still feel horrible but atleast have some hope now.
In the past year I have been given several diagnosis, and while they all seem accurate, I can't figure out why now, all of a sudden. Menopause, high cholesterol, diabetes and thyroid, are the big ones. And I'm only 30..makes me wonder what I have to look forward to.
Something has changed in my body in the past yr and I am so confused. :(
Anyway, enough of my rambling, how is your son? What kind of tests are they running on him? I truely hope you get some answers, waiting is so hard, and meanwhile life is slipping by. Take care.
Talk to you soon.

Dear Abby,
It is good you will get some more testing. Perhaps this will make your treatment more "to the mark"! I'm sorry you are having so many drastic changes to go through. I still mourn the loss of "normalcy" with regard to my younger son, Jesse, who was just diagnosed with Type I Diabetes in January. But he sees it as sort of a mere caution flag. He thinks he will be healthier than others, because he will now have reason to take better care of himself than others. (I try to hide my concerns from him, in favor of his preferable, positive attitude!)
With regard to Trav, his next apt. is Friday, so we will get the results of the latest tests then. So am still waiting this "game" out, going on eight mos. But at least his health doesn't seem to be deteriorating. He just isn't getting well. Will let you know the outcome of his tests. Keep us informed about you! ~ Tracy
