I tend to get dizzy when ever I'm in a vehicle and not behind the driver wheel.
Also when ever I'm asleep and if my head is either tilted to much or flat on my bed I wake up dizzy. I literaly see my room spinning, has any had, felt or is going through this. i would like to hear your opions on this and any suggestion are welcome. Thank You....

WB, I told my therapist the same thing about driving a car--that I do better driving rather than riding. She said that was normal, that when you are driving you concentrate and look ahead, If you are a passenger, you tend to look at the scenery--turning your head. When I'm a passenger, I make sure I sit in the front...it seems to help.
I kind of figuerd that much, but what about when I'm laying down, that baffels me a bit. thank you by the way...

Hi WB,
Many people with a vestibular disorder feel dizzy when they lay very flat or lie in certain positions. This simply happens as a result of vestibular dysfunction and is quite common. When I was doing not great dizzy wise, I would always wake up dizzy after sleeping and be extermely dizzy when I turned my head in certain positions and so on.
It very much depends on exactly which canal in the inner ear is daaged hence why evrybodys symptoms whilst very similiar are often triggered by different movements. Some feel horrendous looking up and down, whilst others find it hard to look side to side. Most find busy or moving enviroments (driving and shopping) trigger symptoms.
Some people get actual spinning vertigo (what you describe)as the result of BPPV and this is when the crystals in the canals shift and momentarily (usually less than 60 seconds) and cause vertigo in certain positions. SUBS is your expert on this subject.
I take it that you have seeing an ENT or other specialist?
Good Luck!!
