There was a post on here and I can't find it -- a woman in her late 40s talked about how she was completely alone, abandoned by friends. She went on to say that all of her friends had been male and that they disappeared once she got older. Her woman friends had been gone ages ago when they got married (she's married and childless). She figured she must have a rotten personality. (She sounded sweet and sincere to me BTW)

I just thought how "don't judge a book by its cover" so applies here. We all know don't assume that pretty outside means pretty inside, or that ugly outside means ugly inside.

Well how about -- dont' assume that pretty outside automatically means shallow and empty inside!

or, don't fool the poor book into thinking you really liked the content when all you were after was the packaging! :eek:
