I went to the doctor last night and she thinks I have a virus in my inner ear, or labs, which is what I thought I have too. I still have to go for an MRI and get all of my blood tests back too.
I don't know if this is related but yesterday my left eye started twitching while I was at work, lasted a few hours and then went away. The same thing happened today. Could this be related?
Now I am nervous again thinking I have a brain tumor or something because or my slurred speech and feeling totally out of it and uncoordinated.
What is happening to me!!!! Two weeks ago I was a healthy 25 year old getting married in two months! This is really getting out of hand!

Hi 'Chris,
I doubt your eye twitching is related to your current disequilibrium symptoms, but if you are concerned, I would talk to your doctor about it. I get that too, but I've had that even before my symptoms came on.
As for worrying about medical conditions that could be causing your symptoms, have whatever testing your doctor wants to pursue, and go from there. No sense in worrying yourself sick over something that you may not need to deal with. Make your appointment to have your MRI and keep in touch with your doctor for your blood test results.
Most symptoms of dizziness are not caused by something fatal or serious. Although, you would think otherwise considering these symptoms make you feel so scared and awful.
I have been dealing with my symptoms for a long time, and I have had the same kinds of "what if" thoughts that you have written about here. So have many of us on this Board.
Take care.

My best friend started having the eye twitching a week before her wedding, she found out that stress causes that. It went away on her honeymoon.

i had an eye twitch for 2 days caused be stress and caffiene, my doctor said caffiene was the main cause and having to read or study can aggravate it more. sometimes i have a little tingle around my lip too. I think a mix of caffiene plus meds plus stress is the culprit for me. i think a nice vacation can cure it!

I am not on meds, not too much caffeine, but this is the first time i have heard of the lip tingle, i have had that for the last 2wks just thought it was another side effect of getting off of effexor.

Hi Chris,
I've had the eye twitch too. It's nothing - really. Just a result of nerves probably and with all of these rotten symptoms around you at the mo (from lab) I'm not surprised. 99.9% I bet you'll find you are absolutely ok except for the labyrinthitis of course which can make you feel like your life is ending sometimes. I know it's hard but try to ignore all of these weird things going on and stay as calm as you can.
Hang in there.....Scott

I agree with scots too, its just a nervous reaction, i never had it before but when my vertigo gets bad i tend to worry more and thats when i get a bit of a twitch.
