Does anyone else get swelling in their throat? I've had it off and on for a while, usually with colds or when the fluey-all-over feeling is bad, but this time it's lasted weeks. It's not sore - it just feels all swollen up, and it seems to be the back of my soft palate rather than where you'd usually get a sore/swollen throat with tonsilitis or something.

Hi and welcome to the Boards,
I have had this feeling on and off for years. However, when I started experiencing wooziness, I had it at times more often. Looking back, I think for me it had something to do with the fact that I was holding my neck and head and shoulder muscles so still and stiff (even when sleeping) to prevent more wooziness coming on that it was related to tight muscles, fatigue and worry.
Then, I was on a medication to help ease my symptoms, and after being on this med a while I noticed that I was having trouble swallowing. Meaning, I could chew and swallow, but the food would get stuck mid-way down - it felt as though my swallowing muscles or the swallowing mechanism wasn't working properly. So I discontinued to medication, and it went away. The medication was called Amitriptyline, and although it gave me great results from my wooziness (no symptoms at all within three days), I didn't like the swallowing problem sensation.
I did have this issue looked at by my primary doctor and by an ENT. Throat swelling can also be caused by an allergic reaction to something, so it's always good to get it checked out.
I have been diagnosed with Migraine Associated Vertigo, not Labs.
Wishing you a good day. :)

Ann, I've had that for a couple of years. It feels like I get a lump on the left side of my soft palate and it feels like it pushes against my eustachian tube. That causes a lot of balance issues. I've had CT Scans and MRI's that don't show anything so I'm not sure what it is, but I know it's there because when I feel it I usually can't breathe well out of my left nostril.
