I had unprotected oral sex with a man i didnt know about 2 and a half months ago. i performed oral sex on him for under a minute and he didnt come come at all, though i dont know about precum, this was my only sexual encounter in over a year and my first with a man. about 3 weeks later i came down with a fever that went from 100 to 103 back and forth for about 5 days and a sore throat, i also got conjectivitus near the end of the fever and lost hearing in my left ear for a couple days. i tested negative for strep and mono in this time. it might be important to note that i was under great stress at the time, getting the fever after an 8 hr car drive home where my car broke down and the first year anniversary of my dads death happening during the fever. i went to get an hiv and std test today and they found extra white blood cells in the tip of my penis which could be chlamydia or ghonnerrea they said and gave me doxycycline. i am scared to death i have hiv and have nearly a month to wait for results, anyone have any similar experiences? any replies are appreciated

OK, well your exposure is unprotected receptive oral sex without ejaculation, meaning your risk is extremely low. Most would say, non-existent. It would be a most unusual way to contract this disease (even with ejaculation and you know this not happen - forget about the precum).

Therefore, from the facts, you know that any symptoms (which are irrelevant by the way) are not related to HIV!

Have a test if you feel you need one at 3 months and move along. You won't have it from that encounter!

i had pretty much gotten that info from reading various boards and sites, the fact they found white blood cells in my penis though when i only gave oral sex made me worried since thats what HIV affects...they needed to swab my penis twice though, and my friends says that the irritation of sticking a rod up your urethra will often times call afew white blood cells out, so hopefully thats all it was! thanks for your response
