I have a bachelors degree in Psychology and am wanting to go back and get a degree in nursing. Can one be a registered nurse with just and associates degree in nursing or would I have to get a 4 year bachelors in nursing in order to be an RN? Thanks :)

You can do either or. I am currently enrolled in nursing school for the 2 year Associate of Science degree, which will enable me to become an RN after two years and go in to the workforce as a full fledge RN and then I'm going to go back for the higher degrees later.

Is the a big difference in pay between an RN with an associates verses an RN with a bachelors?

I think it's quite a few thousand dollars - enough to make me want to go back and get the bachelors when I'm done and then move towards being an NP, where I know I'll be making about $100G's. I know in Florida, we're so desperate for nurses and other people in the medical profession that the state is offering housing deals, such as if you work in the medical field you only have to put down $500.00 or 1% (whichever is LESS) as your down payment on a house. My cousin and his wife are in the medical field (he's a dentist and his wife is a physician) and together they make about $500,000.00/year and they put $500.00 down on a waterfront home worth over $250,000.00!!!
