I have dark blonde hair that has been professionally highlighted . My hair now looks like it is all light blonde. It has been this way for quite awhile. I would prefer my hair to be darker with blonde highlights. I have moved and do not have a hair stylist yet in my new area. Is there anything I can do myself or should I have it done professionally? How would the darker hair, blonde highlights be done? Has anyone ever used Redken Shades EQ in this situation? Can you buy it at Sally's? Thanks!

The sally's in my area do not sell hair dye to the general public, you have to have a hairdressing license. You also need to be careful what color you use on blond hair, if you use the wrong base color you can get a green or red tint to it, and shades EQ is not a permanent color. I would suggest finding a salon in your area to take care of this. Have them put some low lights into it.
