I suffer from a maddening condition where I get muscle spasms in my eustachian tubes. These cause Thumping sensations in my ears. It is worse in the left ear which was injured 3 1/2 years ago.I can't stand this. It is ruining my life. I am in a constant state of frustration and anxiety having no way to prevent or stop it. Two years ago, the middle ear muscle in my left ear was cut. That improved nothing. Botox injections to the roof of my mouth stopped it, but caused patulous eustachian tube. Dr. Dennis S.Poe at The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary believes botox injections directly to the eustachian tubes can help. Then if I get patulous eustachian tube, he can correct it by narrowing the eustachian tubes with Aloderm. Ihope he can help me. Life has been hell for the past 3 1/2 years. Anybody else have this condition? Was anything done to treat it?
