I noticed a "marble" sized object on the right side of my neck back in December 2003, it didnt hurt, wasnt really a bother so I didnt worry much about it. In January 2004 It re-appeared, except now it was larger and beginning to annoy me. I went to my GP, who looked at it, never touched it, and prescribed an antibiotic. I took the pills, the mass never went away, but I never followed up with him afterwards. About 6 weeks ago, May 30th, it started to get larger yet, and very annoying, as it felt like it was pulling from my neck area. There was no pain with this, but my voice began to get very hoarse, and has been since. I went BACK to the GP who now ordered a CT of the neck.
CT came back showing a large hard mass, unknow name, but probably lymph node issues, so next I saw the ENT, who with his first look at this thing said I needed a biopsy, and whatever it was didnt belong there, and needed to come out surgically. He wanted me to see an Oncologist first however, because my blood workups since last December have been all messed up, VERY high WBC, and other issues as well. I saw the Oncologist, he ordered another CT, this one for my Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis areas, as lymph nodes are there as well.
So, the ENT did the biopsy on Wednesday, said I would hear from hom next monday, 7-12, and the results of the last CT will be in on Monday as well, however overhearing the Techs that performed the test mention that my lungs were in very bad condition makes me believe that the tests may very well come back positive cancer, and that the lymphoma may have originated in the chest area.
So, we wait and hear it from the MD'S.... And through the grace of god, and prayer we shall see.
So, if anyone else has a similar thing going on I'd love to hear from you.

Hi Everyone, just a quick update on further tests. I had another CT, this of my chest, and it found heavy scarring, lesions and small tumors on my lungs. The Dr seems to feel the neck is related to the lung issue. does this sound familiar to anyone>

Well, the CT of the chest showed heavy scarring, honeycomb objects, and small tumors, I have the report, but dont quite understand it. I was in the hospital the past 3 days with upper resp. infection, needed to get treated for that. Seems like this stuff is going crazy on and in me now, I'll just wait to see what treatment I can get.
