how much does it cost for just the top teeth for braces. i went to a ortho a couple of months ago and he told me $2600. :nono: :nono: i thought he was crazy so i left! the dentist told me i will only need them for 12 months me teeth are straight but there is a small gap! so i was just wondering if i could get some help from someone who knows about this. thanx :wave:

Nope - Not crazy. Braces can be VERY expensive. I would suggest you look around and get estimates just like you would if your car needed repair. There are even special ortho clinics that may take a small downpayment and then accept small monthly payments. I have seen them cost anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000! I had a friend with a severe problem and she ended wearing them for almost 5 1/2 yrs!
If I were you, I would look around.
