Yeah, I am disgusted! I'm not even sure if this is the correct board to post on, but they didn't have a "tongue" board, haha!

Anyway... here's the thing that is making me crazy and disgusted! My hubby thinks I'm a hypochondriac (spelling?), but I am just a very clean person that is anal about any change. If I ever get a disease or illness, at least I'll know right away! LOL.

I brushed my teeth tonight and when I brushed my tongue, I noticed these bumps towards the back of my tongue. And there is also brown stuff on my tongue. I assumed this was from me drinking tea and tried brushing it off, but it won't come off. :eek: Any clue what's going on in my mouth? I'm kinda worried! I'm definitely calling the doc first thing in the AM!

Hi there. I think those bumps on the back of your tongue are just your taste buds. The taste buds are farther in the back of the tongue and they are large circles. Not sure what the brown stuff was... maybe it was just tea?

Thanks for replying! The doc said they are Circumvallate Papillae. They have something to do with taste buds. This is what they looked like (in case anyone ever experiences this)... All I can say is THANK GOD! I was scared for a while there.
