My boyfriend gets severe migraines and cluster headaches. He usually takes imitrex injections, but they've started to not give him relief. I went to a doctor appt with him last week and the doctors are just so confused because the severity and frequency of his headaches in an otherwise healthy and athletic (cycling) young (age 27) guy. He's had about every test and MRI and scan possible, and they regularly take blood tests. He's tried all kinds of meds too, most not helping or making him so tired that his quality of life is not good. He's having to fill out short-term disability papers because if he gets a headache he's unfunctional.

Does anyone know of a good neurologist in the Chicago area? Has anyone been to Mayo Clinic in Rochester for headaches?

Any advice would be great!
