I had been suffering from Anal fissures and Hemms for the last two months with no relief. However the following things helped me cure it

1. Avoid alcohol. If you must drink then drink beer. It is less harmful
2. Use a natural stool softener like psyllium husk
3. Now for the best part-- Wash 2 dried figs very well & soak in a glass of cold water overnight. Have it first thing in the morning and drink the water. Similarly have figs in the evening that have been soaked in the morning. Have them for 2-3 weeks for good results. It is effective in ordinary as well as bleeding piles.

This is a natural remedy and has no side effects whatsoever.

I just thought I must share it with everyone.

I am sure it is better than an anal fissure and piles. Please trust me this thing really works.

Was it the figs that helped or the stool softener?

Hello,

Thank you very much for your info.

I need to ask this: is the natural stool softener something that one can buy off the shelf from the pharmacy? How much to buy & how long do we use it? 2,3 weeks?

U caught my interest in this. Them "hemmies" are no joke. Really feel like i wanna snip it off sometimes. :D

Renee --

I had been taking the tool softeners for two months with little improvement. The best resutls were after i started taking the figs in the manner prescribed.

Cookie monster--

Natural stool softeners like metamuccil and other brands are generally available OTC in pharmacies. Basically what you need is a bulk forming fibre. I am sure your pharmacist will be able to help you out.

Where do you get dried figs from?? This guy at work is always growing his own everything, and he gave me a fig today it looks like a littel green plum. I tried Kefier ad it worked pretty good but the stoer has been out of it every since I first started using it. Have not had any flare ups since then and that was probally a bout 2 months ago. So I am learning how to deal with it, but I am more interested in having something all 100% natural to keep me regular and keep them easy to pass. I have always been a fan of oatmeal amd water things like that but the fig thing sounds good also but where do you get them, and they have to be dried right???

It is cherry season and cherries will keep ya regular!!!!! :bouncing:

Also, corn season. lots of fresh fiber for scrubbing out your insides.

Lots of water to go with that bulk.

I eat prunes. I love them. I leave them out to dry.

But, during cherry season the local produce people get to know my name.

Keep baby wipes in my bathroom. Works great as hemmie are hard to clean if they are external.

My 78 year old mom swears by cereal or oatmeal every morning.

Hmmm, never heard of figs curing anything but I guess that they are filled with fiber. Neighbor just asked me yesterday if I wanted some figs off of his tree. Guess I will walk over and take him up on his offer. Now if I could just figure out how to dry cherries.

Figs are dried and are usually availabkle in places where you get dry fruits suhc as walnuts, cashew nuts, raisins etc.

This is a very old remedy in ayurveda and is highly recommeded.

You can buy dried cherries at the grocery store by the canned fruit. When my son was little I put some grapes in the oven on low heat and made raisins. He wanted to turn them back into grapes!
