Lol I'm sorry I don't know how to spell diareahh (sp?) but my one year old hasn't had anything out of the norm, she did try canteloupe for the first time a few days ago, but she didn't start having these sore watery poops until 2 days after that. 3 days later she is sore and has a horrible diaper rash (that part I know how to treat... Burt's Bees diaper rash cream is the best!) and is still doing her sore poops :( I feel bad, every time I go lay her down to change her diaper she starts whimpering because she knows it's gonna hurt, and she screams when I change her :( I'm going to the MD tomorrow but has anyone dealt with this before?

it sounds as if she has more of a gastric infection rather than something she ate. i remember when my daughter was in daycare...she was about 3 and this was going around (very small daycare). It was horrible, she would poop all day long (always wattery and acidity), her bum was red and raw, and to make it worse she'd poop while sleeping and not wake up untill and hour or two later. The good new is it did pass. Just make sure to keep your little one well hydrated, lots of water, juice (not apple or orange, i think the acid in it makes it worse...try maybe coolaid for a bit, it's got enough sugar to keep hers from getting low), popsicles, whatever liquid you can get in her. Give her relativly mild foods, no spices, crackers, toast with some jam or peanut butter...basicly whatever you can get into her. As for her sore bum, there isn't much to do about that, give her a few baths a day to make sure all the acid and stool is getting off her bum and keep it covered in whatever cream you choose to use. Also, let her air out if you can predict when she is going to go...once the diaharrea stops let her air out as much as possible to help to dry out the rash.
