There are several Stannous Fluoride products on the market, Gel-Kam (like a toothpaste that you use at night) and Fluoride rinses, both of which you can get at Walmart, or order through their prescription dept. Also, Provident which you can get from your dentist. I just learned about these products and started using them and feel if I had know about them, many of my problems would have been eliminated. None of my dentists mentioned these and I found them by talking to other people with similar problems of rapid decay. Prevention is still the greatest cure. Sae

Topical fluoride, rinses, etc. are good things, but you can still maintain healthy teeth with just regular brushing and flossing.

You are right Doppler4000, as well as good nutrition, but sometimes when you have caps, bridges, and braces, you need an extra boost of protection. I always took excellent care of my teeth but still with braces, then caps, it was not enough. With certain diseases, your saliva does not contain the protective properties that most people have.
