Hi,

My daughter lost her first tooth December 1st, 2003 at age 5. That tooth has already grown in. Between January and march she lost her other lower front tooth and both upper front teeth and those teeth show no signs of growing back in.

Is it normal that so many months have gone by and she is still toothless?.....We have had xrays before her first tooth loss and the teeth were indeed there to grow in when she did lose her baby teeth.

Thanks a lot~
~a worried mother of one~ =)

thats interesting. i have heard of a month or two going by without new teeth growing in, but not longer than that. why dont you make an appointment with the dentist or pediatrition to see what's going on? maybe you have nothing to worry about. sorry that i haven't been more help but my children are still young.

I would not worry. My daughter got excited after her first tooth came out and getting money under her pellow and decided to yank out all of her loose teeth. Needless to say, it was almost 6 months before those teeth started to show. Your daughter probably did the same, she pulled out teeth that were not ready to came out, so just be patient. If the X-rays showed that there were adult teeth behind the baby teeth there is nothing to worry about, they will eventually come in.

I would not worry my daughter lost a bunch of teeth and they took awhile to grow back in. If she had them in xrays they are indeed there it might just be that she needs to grow a little more so her mouth gets big enough to fit them.
