Hello Anyone Who Can Help Me,
For the past year I have been experiencing a LOT of hair loss...so much so that my scalp is visibly noticeable.
I have seen that my scalp doesn't produce the same amount of oil that it used to. This sounds peculiar, but I noticed that when I started to loose mass amounts of hair, the need to wash my hair was much less b/c it no longer got oily. So, usually when you neglect to wash your hair for a couple of days, oil and residue start to build up so your hair feels pretty gross...well, my hair stopped doing that. I am taking Salmon oil supplements, Biotin, Silica, Iron supplements, and a vitamin B complex.
I really believe that the root of my problem lies in my scalp's lack of oil production. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to remedy this?
I am 21, female, and Asian.
Any suggestions are Much Appreciated.

Does you hair fall out in clumps? Do you have a family history (especially mother, sister, grandmother) of thinning hair? What you're describing could be anything from a thyroid problem, autoimmune disorder, nutritional deficiency, or something else. If it's so bad your scalp is starting to show, I'd go to a doctor and have some tests run. Good luck to you!
