Before I explain my frustration I will explain my medical history and why I think there is a possibility for me to have adrenal disease or addisons. About 7 years ago I started gettting these symptoms:
Fatigue
Constant Headache
Weight Gain(fat)
lose of muscle mass
Depression
Irritability
Anxiety
Poor memory
Poor concentration
Dementia/more of a brain fog than full blowen dementia
Low sex drive
Dry Skin
Low motivation
Allergies and extremely dry sinus
Nose bleeds
Breathing Problems/Pain in throat and lungs especially with exercise
Tired after good sleep
Swollen glands
Indigestion
Symptoms worsen with heat
consistently low blood pressure

Is there any of these symptoms that dont look like addisons disease? If so please say.

Is there any chance I could have adrenal disease for 7 years and still be able to do some of my daily activities?

What are the odds of me actually having this disease? I head its 1 for every 100,000.

Am I just waisting my time continuosly searching for whats wrong with me? Should I just accept the fact that I'm not sick and just take anti-deppressants for the rest of my life as the doctors would like me too?

Someone please lead me in the right direction. I have been tested for many things and losing support from my family doctor.

More tests that were done a while back

DHEAS 8.4 2.2-15
ACTH 2.7 0-11
urinary free cortisol 137 25-147

There is many more hormones that were tested I just didnt list them because I didnt think they were important.

See if you can get an ACTH stim test. Sometimes that will tell what condition your adrenals are really in. Unfortunately most docs won't do it with "normal" looking labs.

Chris

Actually since my ACTH is on the low end and my cortisol is on the high end I am going to see if I can get an ACTH suppression test to see if I may have cushings syndrome.

yeah that might be it as well. I don't see urinary free cortisol posted on here, so not familar with it. Do you have symptoms of cushings?

Chris

My symptoms actually match addison's however sushings has very similar symptoms. From my understanding cushings is pretty much the exact opposite of addisons. The on MAJOR symptoms that makes me wonder if I actually have cushins is that I have low blood pressure which is a symptom of addison's. People with cushings always have high blood pressure.

However my blood work would indicate that it is not addisons. I really dont know where to look right now. I'll just keep reading untill I figure it out.

what is an osteopath?
Isn't it pretty sad that we as patients have to do our own research when our health is failing and you know something is not quite right? Yet the doctors say all blood panels are normal? that's just the routine panels. what about all the other blood tests you all are talking about here?
it seems like dr.s just don't want to do the detective work if a pt.is losing weight, and is having multiple symtoms, yet the drs. think it's all related to stress if the regular blood tests come out normal?
it's like we can't even trust our doctors diagnoses anymore.
I don't trust mine 100%. No one seems to really listen to the patient . all because they don't want to investigate further. God forbid it takes up their precious time.
I'm pretty upset with the medical system as you can tell.
