Sorry about the title, wasn't sure how to put it!...
Anyway, here is the situation. I am 21 years old and have always been pretty irregular.
I am very active and work out 5 days a week in addition to an ab workout.
I eat very healthly--more than enough fiber--fruits, veggies, lots of water, etc...
However, the only time i am able to be regular is in the AM w/ lots of coffee. If i miss my chance, i'm screwed for the day. Just wondering what could cause such irregularlity.
Thanks

tomc,
To have regular BM you need to intake 25 to 35 grams of fiber daily. There is basically 2 kinds of fiber soluble and insoluble --- you need to balance both types.
If you were getting enough fiber and water daily then you would have regular BMs--- that is just the way your intestines are made to function. You may have a problem with motility of you intestines??
Some foods can cause irregular BMs like cheeses-- I have found that eating cheeses even cottage cheese just messes up your BMs regardless of the fiber and everyone is different. Also, you need certain vitamins and minerals to make your intstinal muscles work properly causing peristalsis.
