Hi every1,
About 5 years ago i became very ill, due to a rare disease called pernicous anemia before they caught it it had done alot of damage to me, bone marrow failure, nerve damage, u name it it did it. while i was in the hospital they did mri's and a spinal tap and ruled out ms, buttttttttt now 5 years later my eyes are staring to get bad the bottom of my feet draw up and hurt only about 5 minutes but are coming daily now i have bad pain due to peripheal neuropathy but this is a different feeling i hope u know what i mean.
and my reguar doctor told me to get a swimming pool to help exercise my legs because they look like the muscle in bottom part are wasting. well when i do get in the pool it feels good but once i come out about hour later im in severe pain, it seems like over doing it hurts and sitting down doing nothing hurts also. i go to my neuroligist about every 6 months but havent been to him in almost a year im trying to get an appointment but i havent got a call back. should i ask him if it could be ms or wait till more symtoms show up. i hope you can read this.
thanks all and god bless.

Gosh Sissylisa,
You sound like you have a lot going on! Some of the symptoms you are having might be related to MS, but there are a lot of other disease processes that can cause the problems you are having. Neuropathies are a symptom that something else is going on. My neuropathies are from MS. They are still searching for the cause of my husband's neuropathies. Are yours from the bout with pernicious anemia? As for the muscle wasting.....that usually only comes from lack of use in MS, and that is usually after having it for quite a while. I would cont to try to get in to see your neuro guy. Call everyday if you have to. The squeaky wheel does get the grease.
I am sending good thoughts your way!! Keep us posted. I am very interested in what the doc has to say.
Love,
Penny

Hi Lisa,
I agree with everything that Penny said. There are a couple of people at the RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) board that have a similar sounding problem in their feet as you do. One of them is "twright" (Todd) and the other, I think is "Sealover". You might try searching that forum or posting a question over there regarding your feet problems.

I'm not sure what you mean about your eyes getting bad. Have you lost your vision or are you having eye pain or double vision?

I would say you are a long way from an MS diagnosis. There are a lot of other possibilities to investigate first.

Hope you feel better!
Julie
