Does lower intestinal tenderness necessarily mean that you have stool in there or can it be other things such as PMS. My daughter complains of this every month.

singer,
It may be a little unusual for a man to answer your question but I was raised with 5 sisters. I knew about PMS when I was 12 yo. If the pain is at the time of your daughters period --it is probably caused by muscle cramping or spasms. If a heating pad helps -- I think it means that your daughter is not getting enough magnesium in her diet. Some experts think 70 % of people are deficient in magnesium.

To absorb magnesium alot better it is best to take it in divided doses 3 time daily. When taking it only once daily, a person only absorbs about 2 to 8% of elemental minerals. By taking it 3 or 4 times daily the absorption increases up to 35 to 40%.

A very good homeopathic remedy for cramping or spasms is Magnesia Phos taken when needed.

If the pain happens at other times --- it could be caused by trapped gas in her intestines.

God Bless --- Harry
