After over year of facial numbness and odd symptoms I was finally diagnosed with vestibular migraines. I am wondering if anyone else has ever been diagnosed with this and did anything help you with it? The neuro wants me to take Diamox (a diuretic) as a preventive and Axert for the attacks.

Thanks for the feedback!

Dear Nancy,
What are your other odd symptoms, if I may ask? I suffer from basilar artery migraines & was on diamox at one time.It did nothing for me but good luck to you.

The other odd symptoms was pressure in my ears (like being on a plane), head pressure on the top, sides, back, and back of head, ears and facial numbness (like novocaine). My good friend has basilar artery migraines. I believe she takes a calcium channel blocker as a preventive and the Axert for an episode.

Nancy
