I work out very often and have recently included cardio excercises into my workout. I was wondering if riding one of the excercise bikes is just as good as running on the treadmills. I know they both help to burn calories, but I really want to lose the fat on my stomach and was just wondering if they will both do so equally or is running better?

Situps and crunches are your best bet for getting rid of stomach fat.

WOW I AM SO CONFUSED!!!
some people on here dont know what they are talking about some of them say that doing crunches and situps wont get rid of the fat it will just build the muscles up underneath the fat and now you are saying that it will make the fat go away!!
i am so confused!!
what should i believe???

Doing sit ups and crunches will build the muscle under the fat, but you NEED the cardio to burn that fat away!! I am not sure what is better but I suppose any cardio is better than none!! I guess just go with whatever you like! I personally like the treadmill.

Aerobic excercise is all pretty much equivalent caloriewise and depends on heartrate and time at that rate.
Each excercise has it's own refinement...bikes are easy on the joints, floor excercise is great for balance, running is dirt cheap and can be done anywhere...and the STAIRMASTER is good for paying for the sins of one's past lives (God I HATE those things!)
Yep, for beautiful abs, burn off the fat everywhere on your body at the same time you CRUNCH the muscles into view.

Thanks for all the replies, crunches have been a part of my routine for some time now, so I will continue to ride the bike and run...the reason I asked in the first place is because I can burn more calories on the bike because it seems easier to do, but I guess it won't hurt to add some running in there also. Thank you.
zip2play, I agree, the stairmasters KILL!!!
