Okay. How do I start. I have OCD(obsessive compulsive disorder) and I have this thing with my eyes where I have to squeeze them really hard very often. not just blink but squeeze the eye, if that makes any sense. I started doing this a couple years ago for about a month, stopped, and started it the last few days. I think im stopped now. I have been having trouble with my eyes. I went to the eye doctor twice and she said I was fine. She thinks its nuerelogical so she sent me to some specialist and he says I have an eye tremor. he said squeezing my eye too much puts pressure on it and may cause glaucoma. Im wondering if I could have hurt my eyes from squeezing them. Its like they wander off with out making them. he also says I need eye glasses and I never have before. could squeezing them cause early Macular degenerosis( sorry if I butchered the name), or make me go blind, hurt my vision, cause eye tremors, anything. I have a follow up appt. but I guess I need some advice/or something sooner. thanks to any who answer

Your doctor already answered that question. He said you could get glaucoma.

I really don't think it could cause macular degeneration, but it doesn't sound like a very healthy thing for the eyes. Don't forget, you have all that vitreous gel inside the eye that you keep smooshing up against the retina - that just can't be any good. You've really got to try to stop (which being a mild OCD'er myself that is a very very hard thing to do!) - but being that the doctor said you are still fine, stopping now should save any problems. Maybe the wondering eye problem is from stressed out muscles, that should go away too if you stop right now.

I doubt that squeezing your eyes shut would cause any damage, but then I'm not the doctor. Your eye doc did say twice your eyes were fine though. You didn't mention your age, but it's not uncommon for someone who never wore glasses to now need them. Are you nearsighted? And when you say your eyes "wander off", do they wander off together, or separately? Big difference.

Went to select eyeglasses today. Get them friday. I am 19 years old. Having trouble with my eyes the past couple of nights. It comes and goes. It can last from a day to a month, then goes away as long as a day or many months. Its not that I look at something and the object is blurry, its not the things I am looking at, Its my eyes themselves. they jump around and all about. I also am thinking my depth of vision is jumping. its like a circus. Kinda feels like its inside my head at times, though Ive never had a headache. Last night I was dizzy and couldnt even stand much. Their fine in the morning when I wake up, and by the afternoon theyre bad. Driving really sets it off too. I dont know exactly what my glasses are for, but the glasses guy said it was a very slight correction. The computer screen sets this off too, and it really helps if I hold my head back and look down at it, instead of straight on.
