I'm 5'4 and weigh 160 pounds. The funny thing is that I don't eat at all. I mean I eat a small meal once a day just because I don't really feel hungry and my schedule is really hectic. And yet I'm still fat. Even when I do exercise regularly I don't lose weight really. You would think that if I exercsie and don't eat a lot that I would lose weight but I don't. Does anyone know what the possible reasons for that could be.

Yah - you're not eating enough & your body is trying to stave off starvation. If you want to lose weight, eat 5-6 small meals daily, drink LOTS (and I do mean LOTS!) of water; cut out processed gunk like fast food, box dinners, commercial salad dressings, and ALL the whites! (no more white flour, white bread, white rice, pasta) eat fresh veggies and fruits and whole sprouted grains. Eat lean protein (about 12oz per day, spread across the day).
THEN you'll lose weight! ;)

I agree--you are not eating enough and your body probably thinks it is starving (so it saves everything). Start eating more small meals and you will start losing. Also, if your body gets into a routine (same food or exercise all the time) weight loss can stall. Try shaking things up-try a new exercise or some new foods. Good luck!

I agree with the other two replies. It's really hard to accept the concept that eating more will help you lose weight. I've struggled with this also. However, our bodied do react to eating too little and eating more may work. Try eating 6 small meals each day for one week and see how your body reacts. If you can't do 6 small meals, at least eat three meals and two snacks. Never skip breakfast because that is what gets your metabolism going each day. Also, try not to let more than 3 hours pass between meals or snacks. Good luck.
