I have been taking 200mg of Celebrex once a day for only two days for spinal arthritis.

How long does it take, on average, to become effective? So far, I have felt no pain relief.

I also have had stomach upset and mild diarrhea. Does this pass with time?

I have bleeding hemorroids (which will be removed in the next couple of months). Do I need to worry about Celebrex making the bleeding worse?

Thanks for your responses,
Betty

It may take a few weeks to feel any difference but generally sooner. If you get no relief let your doctor know.
Also I'd ask about the bleeding hemorroids if you haven't already, it could be a concern

I don't want to scare you because everyone is different, but my aunt had a serious reaction to celebrex. She was in the hospital for days. She had some of the side effects you are talking about, so if you notice any unusual swelling, I wold contact your doctor.
