Is there anyone out there on Slim-fast. I did it for two weeks and lost 8lb. :bouncing: Then I went on holiday, but didn't put any weight back on. A lot of people say they are hungry but I think it is because they are simply not eating enough. I currently weigh 220lb so obviously 1200-1400 calories would leave me starving. I have devised my own plan which I think could help others in my position.
8.00am shake
10.30am snack bar or fruit or meal bar
1.00pm slimfast pasta or weight watchers ready meal
3.30pm snack bar or fruit or meal bar
6.00pm slimfast pasta or weight watchers ready meal
evening sunflower seeds or fruit

I find if I eat a normal meal it just sets me off wanting to eat eat eat!
Anyone out there with any success please reply, everyone seems to be on Atkins.

Atkins Schmatkins, lol.

I limit carbs, trying to stick with the complex carbs (from grains, beans, wheat breads, etc.) but I don't eliminate them completely. I just stay away from white bread, too much rice and pasta (although I'll eat it occasionally, just not everyday like I was) snacks, cookies, cakes, things like that. Letting your body go into ketosis, especially for long periods, can be dangerous.

As for Slimfast, yes, I drink it, but not religiously. I keep it around for when I don't have time to eat breakfast or lunch and I need a quick 'meal' or an in-between-meal snack. So it's there as more of a convenience for me. I try not to go more than 3 hours without eating or it wears me down horribly. Today, for example, except for a bowl of cheerios for breakfast, I didn't get to eat until after 3:00 and I'm so tired I could fall asleep sitting up. So Slimfast is there for those times that I can't make a snack. I should have taken one with me today!

I lost weight really fast on the slim fast plan after having my baby. In three months I lost 35 lbs, and this was before I knew how to diet(maintain). If I had to lose alot again though, I would go with slim fast again. I hate counting calories and such, and the plan is easy, and the products are tasty. I would eat a bar for breakfast, drink a shake for lunch, have fruit, veggies, fat free pretzels, yogurt etc. for my snacks. Although I exercised an hour a day 5 days a week, I lost it pretty fast. I think it's a healthy alternative compared to pills and such. However, I think that the bars may contain trans fats so I can't buy the bars on a regular basis, but It's a good short term diet. Good luck :)
