View Full Version : What is the longest time anyone has ever been on shot therapy?

My two daughters and myself are all on shot therapy. We have taken our 30th ones. Does anyone know how long you have to stay on them for manteience?

I would guess it varies for different people. I was on shots for two years, but had to suddenly stop getting them because of complications with switching doctors and now because I don't have health insurance and can't afford them. I know I'd still be on them (a year later) because my allergies are killing me now and the shots were the only thing that worked for me. I guess it depends on how bad your allergies are.. I'm allergic to everything, and my allergies are triggered very easily. Hope this helps.

With the lab my doctor uses, it takes 6 months (going twice a week) to get to maintenance dose. It may vary by labratory, I don't know. At any rate, I took allergy shots from age 3 until age 20, pretty much without stopping, and then again off and on as an adult.
