I am posting about my daughter - could this be carpal tunnel??? She is having a feeling of pressure and numbness on the top part of her left hand and wrist. She is left handed, but uses the computer mouse with her RIGHT hand. Could it still be C.T. from the keyboard???
She said it only happens occassionally at night.

She is 16 and it's been going on for a few months. When she was 6 she had fractured that wrist, so maybe THAT has something to do with it or would make her more prone to C.T.?
About 2 months ago she was complaining of just plain pain in that wrist, but not when moving it, just when it was still... but it was the day after we were at the gym and she was using weights, we figured it was that. Then that went away and now for the past month or so she's been having what I described in the last thread.

That sound like it could be something else to me. I was about that age when I first got cts and the main symptom is numbness and tingling in the thumb and first two fingers. I also had some pressure and pain in my wrist. cts is an impingement on the nerve in the wrist that cause mostly numbness in the thumb and fingers and that half of the hand. If it is just the top of the hand and being she is only 16(very rare to have cts at this age but it does happen) and she did fracture that hand its best to have the doc take a look.
