ever since i was 11 i have had a weight problem...i got up to about 150lbs which made me look very big due to my height. Then suddenly my eating habbits just stoped. I ate 900 calories a day (sometimes less) and was obsessed with losing weight. I lost around 40 lbs in quite a short period of time. The thing is since christmas my eating has started to get out of control again, ive put on around 10 lbs...althought im still not over weight i find myself feeling fat and unattractive again and im terrified that if i dont get my eating under control im going to put on all the weight.....i dont know how to get myself back into the pattern of watching what i eat...i know that 900 calories a day is extreme but i still want to get back to that as i know that it works and id give anything to feel back in control of my eating.

If in fact you have an "eating" problem it needs to be determined if you just have bad habits or if you have an eating disorder (which is more psychological than physiological).
Whether you are eating 900 calories per day to lose weight, or eating much more than that causing weight gain, you need to make some radical lifestyle changes. Neither of your extremes is healthy or safe. The fact that you were only eating 900 calories per day is likely what is causing you to gain your weight back now. Why repeat what you know does NOT work??? I realize you think you were successful, but you really were not! You are paying the price now for following an unhealthy, unreasonable diet.
How old are you? What is your current height and weight? Who taught you your current eating habits? (family, friends, school, media, just guessing?) Do you eat with others or alone? What do you consider "out of control eating"?

I'm in a similar situation. I lost thirty pounds barely eating anything. Two years later, all the weight is back, plus some extra. I'm barely eating anything now- maybe 600 cals and not losing anything. I know this is very bad. But I'm so scared of eating like a normal person because the weight would just keep adding on. I'm so miserable. I need to get my metabolism working because right now I feel like I don't even have one.

Either the two of you have been living under a rock for your entire life or you are very young. If you truly are young then I highly _HIGHLY_ recomend you talk to an adult you trust. A parent, friends parent, aunt, uncle, anyone.
What you are doing to yourself is the ultimate classic case of an eating disorder. If you dont think so, you should pull up your serch engine and type it in there and see what comes up, I can assure you that you will see exactly what you are describing. I dont think that anyone should eat less than 1200-1500 cals a day. Sure you are going to loose weight, but it will never stay off once you start eating regular again. It's really sad to see this type of message on something called HEALTH boards. I wish you the best with recovering from this. You definetly need help and I sincerely hope you seek it.
