I am having Botox done between my eyes and my forehead, is there anyone that can tell me a bit about what its going to be like. Does it really work? My frown lines are pretty deep. About how long does it last? Are there any serious side affects? How well does it look when they finish? Are the lines completly gone? Or just less noticeable? Sorry for all the ?s, just curious for what I am in stored for. My appt. is Wednesday, I cant wait! Any comments are greatly appreciated, good and bad. Thanks so much!

I had it done in the lines between my eyes. The doctor will take a very tiny needle and inject in the muscles that cause the lines. It doesn't really hurt - just a quick pinch and it's over.
My lines are very deep, so there was not much improvement, and it was expensive! I wouldn't do it again as my results were not that great. The doctor did suggest colagen injections instead. This apparently works better on deep lines and the results last a little longer. There is a little more to it as the doc will probably want to test you to see if you have an allergic reation to it. It's more expensive than botox though. I never had it done. I want to just sign up for an Extreme Makeover and get EVERYTHING done! :D

I had botox injections between my eyebrows and around my eyes. Injections are not painful - more like a tiny pinch. I developed a bruise at one of the injection sites near my right eye. Didn't hurt and took aboiut a week to go away. However the botox did not work in that one area. The frown lines between my brows soften greatly and I was very pleased. The results around my eyes was just so so. The results lasted approximately 3 1/2 months and wore off fairly rapidly when I hit that mark. I was told that if you continue using botox the results last longer and longer each time - up to 6 months. I did not have any bothersome side effects but my friend who went with me developed bad headaches and said she would never do it again. If you are serious about getting this done shop around for price. I was able to negotiate with the doctor and had it done for a decent price. I would have between my brows done again. Mary

Thanks guys, What is the going price for something like this? I am so afraid its not not work. Is it true when you start Botox you have to keep it up or the wrinkles come back worse? So, are the wrinkles between my eyes gonna just dissapear? Do differant doctors charge differant prices? How do you know if you get a good doctor? Any ?s I should be asking? My appt. is tomorrow, thanks so much!

Well, I had my Botox done yesterday and I am a little dissapointed because its not immediate results, she said it would take a few days before I would be able to tell anything. She wouldnt guarantee that it would even work, whats that all about? I thought it would make the lines erase, but she said only soften. that they would be there but I would not be able to make a frowning expression. I did not have my forehead done as I want to see what happens with the frown lines first. She wasnt a very friendly doctor, I doubt I will go back to her, I will find some one else. I also am having pretty bad headaches, how long do those last? Oh, the things we women do for beauty. I just hope I can see some results after spending that much money. Any thoughts as what I should have done differantly?

My treatment costs $300, but he told me that if I didn't see the results in the first 7 days, I could go back for an additional injection at no cost. Well I didn't see a big change and went back. He injected me again, but I never really got the results I hoped for.
My doctor said that maybe colagen injections would be better for me as my brow lines are pretty deep.
I never did get the headaches though, so I am not much help on that.

I had my first botox experience about 10 days ago. He did my upper forhead and between my eyes. I had a numbing cream put on before hand. It wasnt painful at all.
I did get a headache for the first couple of days. I took a tylonel and it was gone. Some people get them, some people dont.

I had a deep crease between my eyes and it is now gone. It took about 4 days for it to take effect. I woke up in the morning to find a AWESOME suprise. He put it in so I would have a " brow lift"!

I was so shocked and so happy! I look so much younger because of this little trick!

I paid 375.00, by my dermatologist. I will do it again in 3 months.

I am amazed at what botox can do!

I am confused, what do you mean he did a brow lift? What did he do differantly? Did you just have Botox of something else? Please let me know I am very curious. Thanks.

Hi Kimbee,
They can put it in (the botox)where you will have a temporary brow lift. Ask your doctor if he can do that. :)

minnie mouse, Thanks I will ask that sounds like a great idea I am glad you are pleased with your results. Where exactly did they inject you? It has been 3 days now and I can see a change in my frown lines. I was a little worried that it wasnt going to work. Did you say you had yours done by a Dermatologist? Are they any cheaper? I am still a little confused though, does it look like you have had a brow lift? Sorry for all the ?s, I am just very curious. Thanks so much for the info!

Hi Kimbee,
I shopped around for prices before deciding who to go with. The plastic surgeons I enquired about charged a little more.

He did between my eyes and my forhead. He injected (I believe) on the line themselves. I didnt have a mirror or anything, but this is what it felt like. It was about 10-15 quick tiny injections spaced a tiny bit apart from each other.

He put some above the arch of my brow. I remember him saying "you need to put it a finger width away from the brow or it will droop".

It took a few days before it actually worked. I was getting frustrated because I read that it could take effect much sooner and I was always looking in the mirror.

When I woke up my eyebrows looked different. It was the outer part of the eyebrow that was higher. It looks like the inner part of the eyebrow stayed the same.

I had people comment on my eyes and how I looked different.(for the better)

I have almond shaped eyes and this has given me a cat eye look.

I LOVE IT!!

I would just give it a few more days to see if it has worked on you or not. If it doesnt,I would go back and tell them and they should give you more at no cost. If they dont,I would go elsewhere.

I hope everything turns out ok. :)

I had botox above each eyebrow, and right below each eye in the corners. I LOVE IT!! It took about 7 days to get full results, and it has really softened the lines as well as raise my eyes up. I'll get it up.

Just had botox on Wednesday, Sept. 29th. Sometimes I think I notice a difference and at other times, I think I am fooling myself. I paid $400 for no more than 8-10 tiny injections. One place bruised pretty badly. I am wondering if anyone else noticed a difference with this little bit of time and is this too small of an amount for the first time? I plan to go back to have a top off...Dr. said it would be no cost.
