I'm mad.. these past few times i've gone to work out, I have NO stamina whatsoever, i'm not out of shape, I get out of breath sooo easily, even with premedicating. My peak flows are low by the time I get home, in the high 200s. They've been low lately though, not really budging over 350, though I feel alright. What can I do? should I premedicate with Xopenex instead, that used to help a ton for gymnastics?

Premedicating with Xopenex sounds like a good idea. Besides that, I don't know what to tell you besides tell your doctor about it the next time you see her/him. I know how you feel though, I tried getting back to swimming and couldn't complete more than half a lap. What kind of exercise are you trying to do?
Are you still taking Advair 100/50? Maybe moving up one or two would be a good idea if you've still got the higher dosages. The long-acting bronchodilator in the Advair is great for EIA. Maybe, if you work out in the morning, you could take your Advair puff beforehand along with the Xopenex. Or maybe you can work with your doctor to get a different combination of an inhaled steroid and a different long-acting bronchodilator..maybe something like Flovent and Foradil. Just some thoughts.

if you're having troble tolerating exercise start eating oatmeal and flaxmeal everyday. it's apotent combination. take a multivitamin/mineral supplement, too. follow the food guide pyramid. nutrition has made such a big difference for me. since changing my diet in march 2004 i have gone from no exercise to more aerobic exercise than i did even when i was young. i'm 48. i'm real big on flaxmeal. since adding ground flax to my oatmeal my exercise capacity has gone up 33% to 50%. i was riding the bike for 45 minutes. now i ride it 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes at a time. 45 minutes became too easy. i didn't feel like i was doing anything. since i added flax to diet the need for asthma meds has gone down 90%. i believe you replied to one of my previous posts. flax helps a lot of things so i post on different boards. drink lots of water, too, preferably filtered water. if you comparison shop you can get it cheap. i get it for 59 cents a gallon. i buy bulk brown flax seed for 89 cents a pound, rolled oats for 59 cents a pound. i take cheap multivitamin/mineral supplement. i don't have money for expensive brands. cheap stuff works great for me. good luck. buy whole flax seeds and grind only what you are going to eat that day. coffee grinder works great. the seeds must be ground to absorb nutrients. cooking at temps 350 degrees F or less okay.
