I have a problem I would like to have help on. Everytime I spend time in the sun and it doesn't have to be too long I get stomach aches. (diareah)sp. Does anyone have any ideas as to why or what I could take.I eat Tums like crazy. Its very embarrasing. :(

It has got to be something that is triggered by heat??? Have you tried a heating pad --- does it do the same thing?
Are there any other symptoms? Any at all?

Yeah I only get that way when its hot and I'm in the sun. I also have hypothyroidism so the constipation is a problem until I get in the sun. Weird I know. I try to keep cool and if I know I'm going to be outside like at a picnic or something I try not to eat much. I never remember to ask my dr about it. I just thought I'd see if anyone had any suggestions. I get hot sweats too as well as the diarrea problem. Thanks...

Didn't mention what if any medications you were taking, but with quite a few meds you are supposed to avoid being in the sun because of the side effects. Talk to your pharmacist, they may be able to shed some light on this problem. Bad pun, I know, just couldn't help myself! Anyway, bests to you!!

I take Synthroid but that has only been a 3 month thing. I have had this problem pretty much as long as I can remember. I just wish there was something I could do to stop it. I use Immodium if it gets too bad, but with my other problem I hate to take too much of that stuff.Oh well maybe I'll remember when I go to the dr. to ask.
