Every so often(like every few weeks) I seem to have diarrhea. This has been going on for a while now. I never notice my stools being dark or bloody. I have had a CT of my pelvis and lower abdomen that came out normal, along with some stool tests. I've also taken a series of blood tests that also looked really good with no sings of anything unusual. I figure I'm too young(mid 20's) to have any colon problems. What can this be? Stress? Certain foods? Can inner ear problems bring this like they do with nausea and throwing up?

Occational --Loose stools/diarrhea can be caused by anything from a virus to a food poisoning like E-Coli, Samonella, and a number of others. Also --- a food that disagrees with you or you may be intolerant to -- one that you don't eat often.
I am a great believer in taking a water soluble fiber supplement like Metamucil daily to make sure you get enough fiber--- 25 to 35 grams daily. It works to bulk up your stool, make you regular w/o straining and it is safe to use as well as a healthy thing to do!!!
Sorry to say colon problems donot respect age -- it does not make any difference. Children can have colon problems as well as adults!!!
I never heard of inner ear problems affecting your BMs???
I wish you well---Harry
