Hi, guys!

Well, talk about your disappointments. Endo we saw today was a complete "bust". Sat yawning and dismissing my considerations and requests right and left. Would not agree to do ACTH stim test, aldosterone or renin. Said since Trav's Cortisol tests were normal, he didn't need the other tests! I told her I was worried about Addison's because he has most of the symptoms for it. She grinned and replied, "Yeah, but he doesn't have it. His cortisol is fine. His ACTH plasma is fine." She said they probably tested the cortisol because his EOS was high on some tests. I asked what that had to do with cortisol. She said, "Well, some people with adrenal problems have high EOS." I thought to myself, "Yeah, well, doesn't a light go off in your head. That's another symptom, and another reason to test him!". Anyway, it was a total waste of time, I'm discouraged to say. The only good thing about the appointment was that we got to meet her, and find out that we would never want her to an endo for our diabetic little boy! We'll stick with the man we now have! ~ Tracy

What a drag, you were so hoping to find out what was going on. If you feel the need to screem at someone, you can screem at me :D

Thanks you, Chris! Your "cyber hugs" meant the world to us! They really did help so much I showed your message to Trav. He was touched, too. Will not give up, indeed. Just takes a step back to regroup!

Thanks a LOT, Janice! Was just going to get on here this morning and wish you luck going up to bat today!! Here's hoping your appointment will go a lot better than mine did! I think at this point my scream has gone from a frustrated one to a cry for H E L P!! But I have to keep at it. What other choice IS there, really?

Thanks to you both! ~ Tracy
