:) I was taking 20mg. of Lipitor and had severe pain in my shoulder. It turned out to be arthritis. Now I am taking 10 mg. and not having pain at all.

The bad news is that I am hypothyroid now. I took RAI in February for graves. The stuff is actually killing my thyroid. I hope that is the only thing it kills ha! ha!

Actually I am not feeling well at all because I am very hypo. But I will have to be patient until I get better.

Betty,
I am on the thyroid boards most of the time.

 Boy am I getting fat and I feel like crap. Sometimes I wish I'd never taken the RAI. This hypothyroid just hit me all of a sudden. It is very hard to look down at my feet. But when I take a laxative , for my severe constipation,am able to see my feet.

Just feel like staying in bed all day. But I keep thinking that this won't last forever. I wonder if a big bottle of Jack Daniels would make me feel better :nono: Probably make me sick.

I think my husband understands how I feel. It's a good thing I am out of a job right now. It would be almost impossible to handle. Sure could use the extra money.

How long did you have the graves and how long did it take for the RAI to work on you?

You know I got my cholesterol checked 2 months ago. The doctor said I need it check every 6 months. So it's going to be 4 months till I get it checked again. That just seems way too long. Just take the lipitor and try to stay off the fat.

Thanks for your reply. It always feels good to get a reply from someone that is in the same situation doesn't.

Thank you,
Betty
