Hey, I have been wearing freshlook contacts (2 week disposables) and they are uncomfortable and im always rubbing my eyes. Then I went to a vision place and they gave me acuvue 2 and I love them, I cant even feel them in, I can wear them 17 hours a day without dryness, and there is very little redness with absoloutly no discomfort. My problem is that I went to my optom. wearing acuvue 2 she said they were not perscribed to me and that they dont give complete coverage of my eye. I told her my problem and she wants me to keep wearing the uncomfortable freshlook lenses even though I told her I perfer A-2

What should I do? When I wear freshlook after about hour 4 I want to take them out and get rid of them. So I dont know what to do, Im pretty sure wearing lenses that dont hurt my eyes are better then wearing lenses which cause my eyes tear up and I have pull the car over and rub them for a few mins before the stinging stops.

the lesnes are:
Freshlook - 2.75 bc 8.6 dia 14.5

acuvue - 2.75 bc 8.3 dia 14.0

So I dont know know what to do any suggestions.

Get a second opinion from a good medical eye doctor, not just the optomotrist that dispenses glasses and lens. You should not have to suffer.

I think she was just upset at the fact that she wont be making alot of money off of me. For 5 boxes of lenses, the boxes are really small I had to pay a $55 dispensing fee. I have decided not to go back, I have had 2 out of 3 checkups and I believe that I am good enough not to have to worry about any problems.

You already know the answer to this. Wearing painful lenses is absurd. Who would want to do that when they can wear comfortable ones? I don't understand what you mean when the optometrist said that the comfortable lenses "were not prescribed for you." How did you get them?

The guy who owns some optical store sold them to me.

Without an eye exam? Or at least seeing a valid prescription?

He saw my old glasses perscription, but it was not a valid contact lenses perscription. I know this becuase it didnt say BC or Dia or Brand.

I also didnt think you could sell them without a contact lens perscription but my family and I are REALLY big customers spending $500+ a year there. So I guess he just likes our business lol.
