can anyone tell me if this is normal? I am on day 13 of a clomid +hcg trigger + IUI cycle and I have:
16mm follicle
12mm follicle
10mm follicle

My estrogen is at 149. The nurse said everything is ok and we're on track but not quite ready for the hcg trigger yet so I have to go back in two days for more blood work and u/s. What should estrogen levels be throughout the cycle and how big do the follicles get? Could those 12 and 10mm ones become big enough?

I took Clomid and HCG trigger as well. Generally your follicles will grow 2mm per day. The appropriate size they should be at for an HCG trigger would be about 18mm. If you go back in 2 days, they should be around 18mm, 12mm and 14mm. If you were to take the shot that night, you would ovulate about 36 hrs later...so by then, they would be around 20mm, 14mm and 16mm. My guess is that it would be too early. So unless your follicles grow faster than the average 2mm/day, you may not be having your hcg trigger until closer to the end of the week. From my experience, you want your follicles to be at least about 16mm when you have the shot.

As far as estrogen is concerned, my doctor never tested mine so I dont know anything about that. I do know you could have a progesterone test on day 21 of your cycle to see if you ovulated for sure after you had the HCG trigger. Anything over maybe 15 means you definitely ovulated, but some doctors say anything over 10. I've heard various things.
