Has anyone ever experienced burning rectal sensations? Like it feels like your butt is really damp and hot. I have skin tags there and the doctor did a rectal and said it looks like some internal hemmroids

Should i ask to see a specialist or what about bowel x-rays?

Yes! I do get burning sensations, along with a strange smell that I'm almost positive is coming from my anal area. I've been to a colo/rectal surgean and he didn't say anything about skin tags but I have heard that skin tags are a sign of a chronic anal fissure. What is you whole situation? Have you gotten anything solved? I know this burning sensation is very annoying but it's not as bad as the smell.

I have the same thing. I have had tests and the doctor says it's nerve pain. I think it's from all the bike riding I did for years. It's worse if I sit down for a long period of time. At times it can be very annoying.

ya the smell is the big problem. Doctors have no clue haha.

I got to wait until nov 4 to get the scope to check the insides. Rick same thing for me sitting for long periods makes it worse, what tests did u have?

I had the sigmoidoscopy. He couldn't find anything wrong so he assumes it's nerve pain. I tried nerve pain medication for awhile but I didn't want to stay on it forever. I have learned if I don't aggravate it to much it's not to bad. Sitting on my lazy boy or laying on my side or standing doesn't aggravate it. Sitting in the normal position does.

I've had a flexible sigmoidoscopy done and a c-scan, they both showed nothing to the doctors. I've also had my internal hemorrhoids banded and removed.

Just like rick, when I sit in my soft recliner, stand, or sleep, I don't notice the burning/pressure; when I sit in a plain chair I notice it. I've got to get to the bottom of this. Bah.

Hobbs: do people say what the smell resembles? I get told its smoke is the closest thing a lot of people say to me.

I always though it was my 2 small skin tags and internal hemmroids being irritatted and then causing the burning sensation/pressure/smell so the colon rectal surgeon said he will remove all that after the sigmoidscope is done first.

Got to love unknown diseases LOL

I've actually heard some people say it smells like smoke. Usually they say it smells like a strong form of underarm b.o. and sometimes i've noticed an ammonia-type smell. I've just ordered aciduphilus pills and I'll see what happens when I start taking them, I'm not too optimistic about it though. If that doesn't work I'll probably find another colorectal surgeon and get another opinion.

Keep us informed on your sigmoidoscopy and/or hemorrhoids. BTW, when I had the sigmoidoscopy it wasn't painfull, just a few small cramps.

 Hi every one, I'm John, I just wanted to ask or solicit some help from maybe an expert about my anus.

Well you see I had this aching and unreleaving pain on my anus, it started 4 days ago, when I feel a burning sensation on my anus then days later it did not stop, it's like I had a hard and big bowel that had cause the skin to re-tract but I don't see blood. For now I really don't feel good, in a jokely word I never had an anal interraction, I wouldn't but may all of you help me. It's like that I have a laceration on my anus yet when I tried to touch it I feel very pain at the tip of that thin skin. I just don't know how to describe it properly but -- Please help me!!!

John

rick: I as well feel sometimes it could be nerve pain, but i dont understand how that can always produce this smell not sure you have that sympton as well?

There has to be more to it than that.
