For the past few days I keep feeling sharp pain in my right arm. The pain starts off in my shoulders( when I rotate my shoulder I can hear a clicking and poping sound) and extends down to my hand. It doesn't hurt when I move my arm around but the muscle feels extremely tight and sore. I tend to sleep on my right side so I'm not sure if I pulled something in my sleep or not. Also, my posture is not that terrific and I tend to favor my right side. Could I have pulled something? I spend a lot of time typing on the computer too...not sure if that is the cause. Could it be arthritis? I appreciate your help/comments. Thank you!

If it were Osteo arthritis it would be preceeded by a former accident or injury to your shoulder not something that would just pop up. If it were RA you would have symtoms in various parts of your body, predominately your hands.

Sounds to me like you strained your shoulder or possibly damaged your rotator cuff. Another scenario is there could possibly be something going on with your neck as that has the same symptoms as a shoulder injury.

If it continues to be bothersome I'd get it checked out by your general doctor. In the mean time just ice it and take an over the counter medication like Advil or Alieve and rest it and see if that doesn't help some.
