:bouncing: :bouncing:
My husband and I both have had severe/very severe sinus problems...until this spring.
I read about Stinging Nettles (herb) being a possible benefit for this.
BOY IS IT!!
Since we started drinking nettle tea we've neither one had ANY problems. My husband has had two nasal surgeries in the past and has had problems with polyps. His cheeks were always red and puffy. NO MORE!
We swear by the stuff!!
You can buy it in bulk online or at many health food markets. It's also available in capsule form. You want the LEAF for sinuses and even ASTHMA.
The ROOT helps enlarged prostate problems.
Give it a try we drink one large glass of nettle tea a day. That's it!
It's pretty cheap and NO side effects! My husband was taking Claritin-D every day before we tried this... He hasn't taken ONE allergy pill SINCE!

Yes, my husband consistantly suffered with sinus infections. The doctor would give him antibiotics and they wouldn't be strong enough. He usually had to go through at least two series' of antibiotics.
Please try nettles for two weeks.
We noticed results, however, almost immediatly.

People nowadays think you have to buy expensive medicine to fix problems. Not so, I'm finding.
In my experience, most of the medicine from*the pharmacy or drugstores seem to just cover-up the problematic symptoms of things like allergies or depression.
I'm finding, through extensive research, that many herbs will CURE, not COVER the symptoms of many things.

what's it taste like? is it good for anything else? right now my allergies are under control[i eat 1/2 cup of ground flax seeds everyday and drink lots of water] 9 days w/no allergy meds. i was using flonase daily. 9 days is not a lifetime, but i'm optimistic. i've gotten a lot of benefits from eating flaxmeal. i spend about twelve cents a day on it[brown seeds are cheaper than gold and just as effective, i've used both] please put "flax seed" in search engine and learn about it's many health benefits. it's supposed to be an immune system builder and at the 1/2 cup level i find it gives me lots of mental and physical energy.[ that's because of the high level of omega 3 essentisl fatty acids it contains] i need to learn more about herbs. i'll check out the stinging nettle. thanks for your post.

I will try it! By the way to the previous poster, you probably have to get it in a health food store. I have heard of it before - that it is good for hayfever etc. but have never tried it because other natural things I have tried haven't worked for me. But I guess one more try of something wouldn't hurt. I love tea anyway and usually drink 2-3 cups a day of green tea..

Do you think it could help eczema? I will try it for my regular allergies. It would be great if it would help eczema. It seems nothing helps and it is more of a pain now then ever. Thanks for your post. Laura

Please tell me (or at least hint) which specific brand or product you are using, and how much of it. I often follow recommendations, only to find out months later that the brand/type I was using was of low quality/potency. Also, have you noticed any side effects like drowsiness or itching? I have a tough time after a hot shower or after using a variety of soaps. It's like a wandering itch that comes out of nowhere and is definitely exacerbated by dust and dander. I have to use three layers of pillow casing . And all the above taking activated quercetin 3 times daily for years(with period breaks to make sure it's not worsening it)!

Hi! Thanks for the info...can you get the capsule or tea at walmart? I've herad of this as an herbal supplement, but I'd assume the tea is more potent than the pill...have you tried both? Which seems to work better?

I would like to know what brand aswell. After I read your post I went out and bought a bag of "nettle leaf tea" which I was told by trhe women at the health food store is the same as "stinging nettle leaf tea". However my sinus problems and allergies still bother me. Please let us know exactly what your using and where you got it. This would help us alot. Thx
