I'm currently taking coumadin for a blood clot I had a while back and have currently come down with a cold. I'm weary of taking over the counter cold medicines since there are so many things you're suppose to avoid while taking coumadin so I was just wondering if anyone out there knew what I would be able to take. Thanks.

Anytime you have a question regarding any type of medications either OTC or Rx,the best thing to do would be to talk to your pharmasict. They know much more about medications and possible interactions than just about anyone you could possibly talk to.and that includes your Dr.Drs just cannot possibly keep up with info on all the many different meds out there. The pharmasict has to as it is their job to know.sorry I don't know the answer to your question.Just call your pharmacist or go in to see him/her.They will be able to actually show you the proper meds you can take.Marcia
