I was wondering if someone out there can help me I feel like I am lost! Last August I was diagnosed with Hemolytic Anemia my red count was really low (4.3) and I spent some time in the hospital. I had my spleen out this Feb and it seems like my count is going up very slowly though it is now 9.7 which I am very happy with. But now my concern is my platelets my hemo tells me that they are very high somewhere in the 747's, I don't know I just feel lost right now. He has me on a med called hydroxyurea 500 mg one day 1000mg the next. Since I have been on these meds and my platelets are very high I am having very bad joint pain and I just now am getting over these red dots (rash ) on my upper arms. I am thinking I have Lupus I have researched these brds and I think I do. I mentioned it to my hemo, but he never answered. I don't know what to think. My family wants me to go to Philly to get checked out I guess I will because I just can't stand this joint pain any longer. Thank to letting me vent :)
