I’ve had what I think is Eustachian Tube Dysfunction for seven months now and am wondering if anyone has an answer on how to get rid of it. I just woke up one morning with my ears plugged. Now, both my ears are constantly plugged and as they become more plugged I get a lot of sinus pressure, which resembles a headache. My ears have not completely unplugged during the seven months. I’ve tried all the usual remedies like decongestants, nasal sprays and seeing the ENT. None of the doctors have had anything close to an answer and the ENT couldn’t see anything wrong with my ears. Currently I’m trying sinucleanse nasal wash, which seems to help a little. It helps remove a lot of mucus from my sinuses, which sometimes helps relieve the sinus pressure when the ears get real plugged. Occasionally I am able to unplug the ears a little after using sinucleanse. Has anyone with ETD had success is getting rid of it?

I am 38 years old and have had ETD all my life. My 7 year old son has the same thing and the only way we have found to relieve it is have T-tubes placed in our ears. It is not noticeable or uncomfortable but does provide relief. Our hearing is much improved by doing this also. Our ENT found this to be the best solution. I hope this helps you a little. God Bless.
