G'day everyone!!

hope all is well with everyone and today is not very painful!!

just another update for you guys.
I had my w/c hearing last week to decide if they will pay for my PLIF and a few other procedures. w/c only wants me to have a discetomy.

we got to the hearing and w/c representatives told us that my surgeon hadn't written the report yet so today was kind of meaningless. anyway it turned out that w/c hadn't paid him his $1300 to write it so he didnt send it in. (i'm the only w/c patient he's seen as w/c are a pack of !@#$heads and "play games") he's a fantastic and very well know surgeon so im lucky he agreed to see me.

anyway.... they finally paid him yesterday so we agreed to send his report to the w/c surgeon and if he agree's we will book surgery, if not i have to sit in front of a medical panel consisting of the three top neurosurgeons in Melbourne and they decide whether i should have it or not. so the way i see it is i win either way, cos if i go to the medical panel that's the best opinions i could get and for free!!

so now i have to wait a few weeks to see what happens. dealing with w/c is so painful and so slow!!

hope everyone has a great day luv always Tiah

Tiah,
Hang in there! I've been thru many hearings here in the States. W/C procedure stinks. I am sure it's somewhat different here than in Austrailia....Stay tough-Tell the truth-& don't be intimidated!
I had 3 hearings in 14 yrs........Wait-Wait-Wait........Slow stinkin' process!!
