Hi.. I had my leep procedure done over two weeks ago and everything was fine. Just some discharge... but after a week i started bleeding, just like having your period. Two days ago, after seeing my dr. for post op appt. I began to bleed heavily with huge blood clots. I am really worried. Has anyone experienced this. what might be causing the clots??

Hi, i had a LEEP but did not experience any bleeding at all. However, it is common for some women to bleed, BUT i think you should definitely go see your doc to check this out again. Have u used tampons, had sex, in the weeks after leep? if so, that could be why, bc you shouldnt do anything to irritate your cervix in the weeks following the procedure (some docs ay 4 weeks, some day 6-8 weeks). Some bleeding is expected, but from what you say, i would have this checked out by your doc definitely. Usually, they say that if you bleed so heavily that you have to use more than 1 pad per hour, then you should call you doc. Regardless, you should call you doc to be safe. Good luck! Alex :)
