i would like to know how many of you that have scoliosis, kyphosis, reversal lordosis, osteoporosis, anything related to spinal deformities have tried for disability and have failed to suceed in getting it? also id like to ask why is it we have to be litteraly bed ridden and almost dead to get any help from clinics, doctors, hosp. ect? why does the world look upon us as that we have nothing wrong with us and it mostly in our minds?

It is quite difficult to obtain benefits solely on the basis of spinal deformity as the severity required is extreme. That is one reason why we look to toher co-morbid conditions such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and even somatiform disorders to serve as a basis for an award of disability. In a very real sense, much of one's disability may well indeed be in one's "head".
Any time you see a chronic condition such as spinal deformity with associated high pain levels that are not usually well controlled with surgeries or medications, you have to look to the psychological side to find out what is going on. Many folks seem to think there is something shameful about having a psychological condition, and that just aint so.
