I keep dying my hair over and over... I used to be a natural blonde but over the years my hair has faded... It is now pretty light blonde with some highlights and bleaching it wouldn't really make it toooo much lighter. I just want to know how damaging it is for your hair and if so, what kind of conditioner/shampoo should I use after I bleach it? Please anyone that has or does bleach their hair, you're advice would be great. Thanks

I'm the same way, I'm blonde but my blonde is "fading" a little so I decided to bleach it to jazz it up some & even out the blonde.

My hair is very fine & when I bleach it, some breakage does occur but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I use Garnier Nutrisse haircolor, someone recommended it to me when I first set out to bleach my hair because they said it's gentler & doesn't wear the hair as much as some do. I'm VERY happy with it, Garnier has several nuances of blonde available & their hair color is pretty gentle on the hair. For shampooing & conditioning I use Garnier Fructis for colored treated hair & I'm very happy with it (It was actually a coincidence that I use the same brand product for both shampooing & coloring :-))

So anyway, I'm happy with it & yeah it does wear the hair a little but nothing I can't cope with really :)
